About us
We are a group of consultant physicians dedicated to improving the lives of older people, especially those undergoing surgery.
We provide medical care for patients of all ages undergoing various types of surgery and work alongside other physicians in treating older people with heart and kidney disease.
Research
Embedded within the department of bioengineering, we have several projects developing treatment before and after operations.
We are focussed on pre-operative interventions and clinical, functional and cognitive predictors of outcome. Alongside our colleagues in the department we recruit older people to research studies and use novel techniques to simplify and optimise patient care.
